WhatNotToSay#4 explores the belief that because we don’t have children that we have less of a vested interest in the future of the world. My initial reaction to that is
“COMPLETE AND UTTER BOLLOCKS”
This discussion has been quite a hot topic over the last couple of years in the UK. First there was the Brexit Referendum and then the Conservative Leadership contest that followed.
The assumption at the time was that people who didn’t have children voted for selfish reasons. “What is best for ME” while parents voted for what was best for their children. The later implying that parents voted for what was best for the future of the UK, and by extension, the world.
I disagree with this.
