Writing “Letters from your heart” is a great way to express your feelings. This type of emotional writing has a huge number of health benefits. Not only can it be very cathartic it can also reduce blood pressure and improve your memory.
I’ve already written three blogs about the practicalities of emotions writing. Today I want to explore the more sentimental side of “what happens next”.

However, I digress. This is about what to do next. Now there are some steps you can take that will take the benefits of emotional writing to another level in terms of healing. I will share these with you later in the month.
Today I want us to think about something slightly less logical.
Letters from your heart are special
I want us to think about what you are going to do with the “Letters from your heart” now that you have written them.
Everyone is different so there is no right or wrong “next step”. You need to do what is right for you. To help you work out what that is I’m going to ask a series of question. Sorry for the very logical approach to something that is more to do with the heart than the mind. However, it is the best way for YOU to work out what YOU want to do.
Take time to think
I’ve recorded a short video to explore these questions. When you listen to them I would like you to make a note of your gut reaction. Sometimes your instinctive reaction is the one closest to you heart. However, I would also like you to revisit the questions after you have allowed the ideas to settle for a while. Occasionally we need a little time to get used to an idea before we can see its benefits.
To help you do this I’ve created a downloadable document contain the list of questions. This is at the end of the blog.
The suggestions that I have made in the video are only suggestions. They are a starting point. I am sure that you will have ideas that I didn’t come up with. That is great. Whatever you decide to do this is YOUR decision. Do what feels right for you. That is the only thing that matters.
